Joseph Reves

3 July 2011

Joseph Reves studied to be a state-registered Heilpraktiker in Munich, in the mid 1970s. In Germany this involves studying a wide range of alternative and complementary therapies and then specialising after three years. Joseph chose homœopathy as his speciality and practised for a couple of years before coming to the UK to work at Tyringham Naturopathic Clinic under the directorship of Sidney Rose-Neil.

From here Joseph returned in 1978 to Israel and opened his practice. A year later he started teaching classes in homœopathy.

In 1980 he gave a seminar in Stratford-upon-Avon and further seminars in Twickenham, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

He has also taught in Italy, the United States and Norway.

Through his company Homoeodata he has written a programme for repertorising , searching and comparing within the Materia Medica, as well as for remedy study and finding the best time to prescribe the medicine. With colleagues, students and friends he took on the task of verifying all of the work in Kent’s Repertory. This was to ensure that the data for the programme was accurate and trustworthy.

From this followed various books which have been published by Homeopress including The Kent-based New Repertory with full Materia Medica of the Repertory in six volumes and Hahnemann's Organon of Medicine with full paragraph-by-paragraph explanation. He also wrote a book explaining homœopathy called 24 Chapters in Homoeopathy

The explanation of the Organon and 24 Chapters offer the reader an insight into his deep understanding of homœopathy and how it is best practised. He has brought his keen, analytical mind to what is at times a very difficult and controversial subject.
